Pocketbike race, Middle Georgia Kart Track, Dublin - March 29th, 2009The Middle Georgia Kart Track in Dublin, Georgia is AWESOME. This track was built by Phil Herrin for his sons (one of them is AMA racer Josh Herrin) and he did a great job with the track, buildings, and landscaping.The grids were big with the "meat grinder" designator going to the 2.5 class (lot's of crashes in that class). The weather was great and we had LOTS of track time - I estimate that I did approximately 110 laps. There is no wonder why I was sore for the next week! More pictures can be seen HERE.
Trackday, Jennings GP - March 30th, 2009After the minomoto race in Dublin, my dad and I headed to Jennings GP to run the Kawasaki Ninja 250 and the Aprilia RS125.We had a great trackday - I focused on turns 3,4,5, and 6. My goal was to not use the brakes here and carry as much speed as I could and I succeeded! I did 105 miles on the Aprilia. This coupled with the 110 laps from the previous minimoto day wore me OUT.
