Videos from the Palmetto trackday - 7-29-2007We didn't beat the rain today - but we got in a few good sessions. I didn't get any pictures but I did take some helmet cam videos. I lost the first session's helmet cam video because of my highside in turn 10 (camera flew off of my helmet) - that would have been some good shots (plus the highside - I must been 6 feet in the air!) - I think that video is the one where I was following Jamie for a while (sorry I lost it Jamie).
Videos from the Moroso race - 7-8-2007Hot day today, and we beat the rain. A lot of people showed up - and we missed a few. I didn't get a pictures this time, but here are two helmet cam videos - not too much action though. I ran my "new to me" GRC RR and it performed great.
Andres got a picture of me on my GRC.
Videos and pictures from the trackday at the Starke track - 6-23-2007Another trackday at Ivor Wigham’s European Rally School track in Starke, Florida. It was very hot day. Temperatures were 92 in the shade and 100+ in the sun - I don't even want to know how hot it was in my leathers. I usually only lasted 5 or so laps before I had to come off of the track - until I started racing Rick and Ricky, then I guess the adrenaline kicked in and I lasted a lot longer. I pushed hard chasing Ricky (smoking fast, bro) and low sided two different times. [By the way, my Carena S fairings don't hold up as well as the old Carena fairings].Helmet cam videos - Rick asked to wear the helmet cam today which was great since I usually don't get video of myself!
Videos and pictures from the race at the Moroso motorsports park track - 6-3-2007We got to race the first ever pocketbike event at the Moroso track. This track is fast, long, and is tremendously fun (although a lot of the fun may come from the great group of people I get to race with)!Anyway, this track wore me out - the staff at Moroso made sure they gave us our moneys worth and I rode 76 laps (approximately 61 miles). Thanks to the guys of the WCPBA the racing was close, clean, and exciting as usual! Check out the racing yourself - here are my helmet cam videos.
Videos and pictures from the race at the Immokalee track - 5-20-2007I had a great time at this past race held by the West Coast Pocket Bike Association down in Immokalee, Florida. This is the most challenging track (mentally and physically) that I have ridden and my body later let me know that pocketbike racing is truly a physical sport! The guys of the WCPBA are really nice and they go out of their way to make you feel part of the group (thanks!). Here are my helmet cam videos. The WCPBA guys really made me push hard, so I've got my head tucked down a little more than usual.
Here are some of the pictures from the pits - this is my camera phone so the quality stinks.
Pictures from the open trackday at the Starke track - 4-28-2007We had another great day at Ivor Wigham’s European Rally School track in Starke, Florida. He has been having an open track day about once a month (track schedule permitting). Keep an eye on Ivor's calendar for the next trackday.
Here are a few videos.
