In 2004 my dad and I bought a couple of cheap Chinese Cag pocketbikes and began racing each other in parking lots. These tiny bikes were my first experience riding a motorcycle and I thoroughly enjoyed it. By 2005 I decided I wanted to see what all the fuss was over the European pocketbikes so I purchased a used Polini 910 4.2HP bike.
The Polini was so much better in build quality and reliability that I stoppped riding the Cags. Late in 2005 I found S.E.P.R.A. and started racing at the beginning of the 2006 season. My first race was in Jacksonville at the SCRAJax track. I got my first taste of racing on a real track and I have never looked at another parking lot again.
The S.E.P.R.A. season started to fall apart after the races at Ivor Wigham's European Rally School in Starke, Florida. I found another organization racing down in Immokalee, Florida and have raced with the W.C.P.B.A. whenever I get the opportunity.
Moroso Motorsports Park began holding races in 2007. Their Kart track very fast and fun. I try and make every race they hold, but recently they haven't been doing too much.
In 2008 I was coaxed to try racing big bikes with the Florida Championship Cup Series so I stripped my Aprilia RS125 streetbike and hauled it to Jennings for my first CCS race weekend. That weekend I fought off some demons (speed and rain) and ended up having a really good time. My Aprilia isn't in the same league as the other bikes but until I get better there is no need to upgrade just yet!
